Salome is an Ethiopian international fashion designer, model, entrepreneur, and television host. She is part of the new wave of African fashion innovators, known for blending timeless elegance with contemporary style. Her extensive career spans international fashion runways, magazine features, styling, brand development, and business leadership. With her dazzling personality, classic sophistication, and fearless creativity, Salome has become a respected force in women’s fashion.
Born and raised in Addis Ababa, Salome developed a passion for fashion at an early age. Determined to expand her knowledge and pursue greater opportunities, she moved to Italy at a young age to study Fashion Merchandising at Istituto Marangoni in Milan, one of the world’s leading fashion institutions.
While in Europe, Salome built a successful international modeling career, participating in fashion events and runway shows in cities including Milan, Paris, and Rome. Her experience working with renowned designers and fashion professionals helped shape her unique sense of style and global perspective.
After moving to the United States, Salome turned her passion into a thriving business. In 2010, she opened Salome Italian Styles Boutique in Norfolk, where she successfully operated the boutique for many years. Known for its distinctive fashion selections and exceptional customer service, Salome Styles became a destination for women seeking elegant and unique styles.
Her extensive body of work spans fashion runways, magazine features, brand influencing, and media. Salome has also ventured into television as a producer and show host. Drawing on her fashion expertise, design talent, distinctive elegance, dazzling personality, and entrepreneurial vision, she launched Salome Collections, a luxury brand featuring handcrafted genuine leather handbags, accessories, scarves, handwoven dresses, and tops, all proudly made in her homeland of Ethiopia.
